Privacy Policy

Inbox Cleanup helps you declutter Gmail. To do that it reads limited information about the emails shown in your inbox and asks an AI model to suggest what's safe to remove or archive. Here's exactly what that involves.

What the extension reads

When you click "Scan my inbox," the extension reads, from the emails currently shown in your open Gmail tab, three fields per email: the sender name, the subject line, and the short preview snippet Gmail already displays in the list. It does not open emails, read full message bodies, or access attachments.

What leaves your device — and where it goes

Those three fields per email are sent over HTTPS to our classification server, which forwards them to Anthropic's API so its Claude model can suggest an action and a plain-English reason for each. We use Anthropic purely as a processing subprocessor; email content sent to the Anthropic API is not used to train models under its commercial API terms.

What we store

We do not keep your email content on our servers — the sender/subject/snippet text is used to generate the suggestions in that request and is not persisted by us afterward. Your most recent scan results, your usage count, and your Pro license status are stored only in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own device.

What we never do

• We never sell or rent your data to anyone.
• We never delete or archive anything ourselves — the extension only selects emails; you click Gmail's own Archive or Delete button to confirm.
• We never access your Google account password — the extension works on the page you're already signed into.

Payments

If you upgrade to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the extension, or clearing its storage from chrome://extensions, removes everything stored on your device. We hold no separate copy to delete.
